After completing his education from prestigious institutions such as Modern School, New Delhi and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, USA, Sanjeev Nanda started his career working with reputed organizations such as Barclays Capital and ANZ Grindlays Bank. Later, he showed the first signs of an entrepreneurial spirit by starting a website development company along with his friends.

By 2001, Sanjeev had forayed into his family business – that of hospitality – by working as the Marketing Manager of C1 India, a joint venture by Claridges Group and Commerce One, a NASDAQ listed firm from California, USA. “My stint at C1 India helped me grow personally as well as professionally,” he says. Sanjeev later took over the company’s sales division in Mumbai and Delhi, and secured large orders for the venture.

In 2005, Sanjeev assumed command of the Claridges Group of Hotels as its new CEO. His business acumen helped him expand the group further. Under his leadership, Claridges acquired the Sea Rock Hotel in Mumbai. Sanjeev also identified a property close to the national capital and developed it into The Claridges Surajkund in 2008. The iconic ‘Dhaba by Claridges’ also came into existence during this period.

Continuing his success story, Sanjeev Nanda shifted his base to Dubai in 2010. He helped set up some of the most prominent eateries across the globe, including Miss Tess in Dubai and Toto’s in London. He is also accredited with bringing the ‘Billionaire’ brand to Dubai and establishing ‘Billionaire Mansion & Sumosan’, one of the most luxurious restro-bars in Dubai.

In 2016, Sanjeev Nanda added another feather to his hat by venturing into pharmaceutical business. He co-founded ISHVAN Pharmaceuticals, one of the most rapidly growing pharma companies in the world. “With ISHVAN, we aim at improving the healthcare infrastructure across the globe. We intend to establish a more robust distribution system for medical drugs and other supplies, along with the manufacturing of FDA-approved vaccines and medicines,” says Sanjeev about his latest venture.

Sanjeev Nanda is also an active social worker. Along with his wife Medha Nanda, he has been quite instrumental in the formation and functioning of Mahila Ekta Group – an all-female self help group formed by the women residing in Banjani village, a small hamlet in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. Sanjeev often visits the village to personally assess and assist the growth of the cottage businesses started by the members of Mahila Ekta Group.

For the future, Sanjeev has several plans pertaining to the expansion of his various businesses as well as for aiding people in a better manner. We wish him success for his future ventures.
